Presentation Description: Every project site has different requirements regarding state and federal regulations, sensitive resources including wildlife, vegetation, and hydrology, and enviromental conditions (weather, terrain). Working collaboratively with construction crews, project proponents, state and federal agencies, and field survey crews is essential to ensure successful planning and implemntation of construction activities for wind projects in the west. Here we present what we've learned while providing environmental compliance monitoring for a wind construction project in Wyoming. We'll present the conflicts and solutions we've developed to help improve future constuction projects in areas with sensitive species and habitats. We'll also provide ideas for aiding in compliance auditing and monitoring in the future.
