Ian Baring-Gould graduated with an MSME from the University of Massachusetts in 1995 and joined the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Ian’s work focuses in domestic and international applications engineering for Renewable Energy (RE) technologies, assistance in RE deployment and educational outreach. Ian has worked on several international energy taskforces and has served as an editor for Wind Engineering while supporting RE development on every content, including Antarctica. Ian’s current position is as a Technology Deployment Manager, is the main implementer of the Department of Energy’s wind focused stakeholder engagement, outreach, and workforce development activities, and also coordinates the NREL’s Distributed Wind portfolio of activities.
