Dr. Greg Forcey is a senior principal scientist at Normandeau Associates with a research focus on wind energy and wildlife impacts, collision and electrocution risk modeling, and data management and visualizations. Dr. Forcey has been working on terrestrial wind-wildlife projects since 2006 and offshore wind-wildlife projects since 2016. Greg is currently managing Normandeau's post-construction bird and bat monitoring project at the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Pilot Project for Dominion Energy. This project uses thermal, visible-light, acoustic, and VHF sensors to detect birds and bats in the rotor-swept zone of the turbines.
