Brent Read brings over 20 years of GIS expertise in complex geospatial data analysis and management for a variety of permitting/compliance and land use planning projects. He has provided GIS support for projects including mining, transmission lines, wind energy facilities, resource management plans, oil/gas developments, rail transportation, habitat conservation planning and groundwater development projects by managing, analyzing, summarizing and displaying spatial resource datasets. He is also experienced in ESRI’s ArcGIS suite of products and Microsoft, and in their combined usage. He was the lead GIS analyst on the Uinta Basin Railway project and contributed significantly to the TransWest Transmission line project. His MS degree in Watershed Science was heavily focused on GIS modelling, which has provided the foundation for the modelling and analytical procedures he employs on current projects. He has also been recognized by peers and supervisors for the aesthetic nature of the map products he produces.
