Prior to founding KerTec, Rhett K. Kerby received a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy from Texas Tech University and a Master of Science in Agronomy from Iowa State University. His land stewardship career began at the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service where he served as a District Conservationist for 7 years. He then transitioned to Bamert Seed Company where he acted as the Business Development Manager for 7 years.
Rhett is now an owner and Principal Soil Scientist of KerTec, LLC. Rhett oversees the design and implementation of native ecological restoration and reclamation post-construction activities. This includes soil stabilization, native species selection, hydroseeding, drill seeding, techniques/methodology, soil health, and ecological site evaluations. Throughout the country, KerTec’s team of experts and technicians use science-based methodology and solutions for the three main timelines of a project: pre-construction, construction, and post-construction/O&M.
