Caitlin (Caitie) Cyrus is an environmental consultant that specializes in assisting clients with designing, permitting, and implementing dual-use solar projects across the United States. She focuses on native revegetation practices (pollinator habitat, grasslands, etc.), and where feasible, combines this experience with solar grazing practices. Caitie is a co-author of the Virginia Pollinator-Smart Solar Program, a state-led program that certifies solar facilities as "pollinator-smart" based on a scorecard and supporting materials. She is part of the review board that certifies Projects as Pollinator-Smart, and also works with a spin-off group to develop local Virginia ecotype seed sources to be available at the commercial scale. Caitie regularly works with clients as a "habitat coordinator", facilitating successful vegetation design, establishment, and maintenance across portfolios of projects across ecological and geographic regions. In her spare time, Caitie is the President of the Flora of Virginia Project, a non-profit dedicated to conserving Virginia's Flora through development and curation of the Flora of Virginia book and app.
