Karen Herrington is the Regional Ecological Services Program Leader of the Midwest Region of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. In this role, she leads the Midwest Region's Endangered Species Program, including species listing, recovery, and environmental review. Karen has been working on endangered species conservation efforts for over 20 years. She's an expert in all aspects of the Endangered Species Act and has direct, relevant experience working on Habitat Conservation Plans for wind and bats and environmental review of solar and transmission projects. She has also been closely collaborating with ACP to improve post-construction fatality monitoring and develop template Habitat Conservation Plans. Karen enjoys working with industry to mitigate impacts to listed species.
