Jackson Keith serves as the Director of Public Engagement at Vestas-Steelhead Americas. In this capacity, he plays a crucial role in supporting stakeholder and community engagement, overseeing communications, and managing local affairs for Steelhead's development portfolio. Jackson collaborates closely with development teams to implement effective community engagement activities.
Before Steelhead, Jackson served as the Executive Director of Conservatives for Clean Energy Future, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization. During this time, he identified, researched, and provided support for county officials poised to have a significant impact on clean energy development nationwide. Prior to his work with Conservatives for Clean Energy Future, Jackson played a key role in establishing and scaling the Land & Liberty Coalition (L&LC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, operating in twelve states. L&LC works to identify local citizens who support utility-scale renewable energy developments. The coalition, comprising farmers, landowners, and key stakeholders, advocates for the protection of private property rights, rural economic development, and responsible land stewardship.
Throughout his career, Jackson has consistently succeeded in engaging local communities and gaining support from a wide range of stakeholders. His contributions include the establishment of four wind farms and three utility-scale solar farms in Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio. Additionally, he has supported developers in building nearly 1 GW of clean energy since 2018.
Jackson holds a Bachelor's of Science in Advertising and Public Relations, with a minor in digital communications, from Michigan State University.
