Victoria Zero is a Senior Biologist and leads WEST's Endangered Species Act Compliance group. She holds a B.A. degree in Biology from Reed College and an M.S. in Rangeland Ecology and Watershed Management with a minor in Statistics from the University of Wyoming. Her varied background includes wildlife ecology, group facilitation, genetic methods, GIS, and statistics. Her work at WEST has centered on habitat conservation planning for Section 10 incidental take permitting, with a particular focus on impacts to bats from wind development. She is also involved in research on emerging curtailment technologies, including WEST's Optimized Smart Curtailment and acoustic-activated approaches. She has also been the lead author on WEST's three Renew database reports summarizing wildlife fatalities throughout the United States and Canada.
